CyberMill Technology Center

CyberMill Technology Center, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, was founded 11 years ago to address major “technology gap” issues among Napa County’s children and youth in order to help them better prepare for the educational and workforce demands of the 21st Century.

CyberMill’s youth programs focus on combining instruction with hands on media making projects such as digital movies, websites, graphic design, photography, music and audio recordings. Though creative classes, students learn the skills they need to be effective and successful using a computer and the Internet.

Since start-up, we have served over 6,000 youth (as well as 250+ parents and other caregivers) through our programs, including majorities of Latino and low-income families.  In 2011 we were recognized as the “Outstanding Non-Profit of the Year” by Mechanics Bank and the Napa Chamber of Commerce.

This year, in response to the ongoing success of our youth and family efforts (through Middle School Connections, in partnership with Puertas Abiertas Community Center), as well as an increasing demand for good, inexpensive technology training by the whole community, CyberMill is expanding services to include workshops and classes for adults, with a focus on low-income people, Baby Boomers and senior citizens.

Individual, corporate and foundation grants and fees provide the bulk of our current support, and many dedicated and talented staff, interns, and volunteers provide skill and talent in a fun atmosphere where individuals can learn, grow, and express themselves through digital art instruction and projects.
